Karen Chasalow Saken, Lisa Aronson and Ira Goldstein founded Legal Option Group, Inc. in 1997. They had spent over 8 years working together at a company that specialized in placing candidates at all levels in law firms. When that company was bought, Karen, Lisa and Ira decided to form a legal recruiting firm that was unique & uncompromising in its screening and matching standards, work ethic, and service capabilities. In 2018 we rebranded as Hire Options Inc to reflect the growing variety of businesses and clients with which we work.

Ling Chan joined Hire Options in 2014 as the Director, Corporate Division to officially launch this new division of the agency. Up until that point, the agency had primarily been staffing in the legal field. But with the launch of the corporate side, Hire Options provides the same unique, caring and uncompromising methods in personnel staffing and recruiting for our corporate clients as we do for our legal clients. Ling brings a varied background in marketing, promotions, branding and business, having built a career in entertainment as Vice President, International Theatrical Marketing at Warner Bros. Pictures, and in retail as the Owner/Founder of the children’s lifestyle retail boutique, La La Ling. Ling is married and a mom to three children and two dogs. She enjoys being part of Hire Options’ amazing team and upholds the goals of exceptional client and candidate satisfaction for our corporate clientele. What Ling loves most about recruiting and executive search is being inspired by amazing people and exceptional talent.
Joel Mendelsohn

Joel joined Legal Option Group, Inc. in November of 1998 after relocating back to Los Angeles from Park City Utah. Joel took his previous marketing and client development knowledge and rolled those tools into Legal Option Group, now Hire Options Inc. His past experience with a startup company handling sales, marketing and, the “all important customer service”, gave him a solid base to assist with starting, building, and eventually managing the Temporary Division of what is now the best legal staffing agency in the city. Joel has recently become the Director of Business Development. Because the clients are drawn to Joel and his service minded personality, he is now focusing on nurturing and developing a larger client base. His wife and 3 children occupy his hours not spent at Hire Options!

Christy Kwon Kreisberg joined Hire Options as a Recruiting Manager during a pivotal time when the agency was renewing its focus on providing exceptional temporary staffing solutions for our clients. With a true passion for people and an innate ability to connect with them, Christy quickly proved to be a natural fit in the world of recruiting for temp and direct hire positions. Before coming to Hire Options, Christy worked for over a decade in the entertainment industry at NBC and Turner Broadcasting. Her responsibilities included buying and managing TV shows, overseeing all aspects of TV development and production, as well as managing marketing, public relations, and branded sales integration. Since joining Hire Options, Christy has been instrumental in helping find the best talent for our clients and excels at making connections; she was promoted to the role of Director of Talent Acquisitions in 2021. Christy is passionate about helping candidates find the perfect job and working with clients to find the ideal match for their needs. Her inspiring belief that there is a job for everyone motivates the entire team at Hire Options.

Alex’s professional career began in fashion marketing and e-commerce after she graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2016. After working in New York for a year, she moved back to LA and transitioned into event production where she coordinated large scale international live events. This diverse experience gave her a fresh and different perspective on the recruiting world, and her ability to adapt to new challenges quickly made Alex an invaluable member of the team. Joining Hire Options in 2019 as an Office & Research Assistant, she quickly rose to become Director of Operations in 2021. In her current role, Alex manages marketing, career fairs, candidate sourcing, and community engagement, optimizing operations and benefiting both the company and its clients.
Celeste Perkins
Talent Acquisition Manager
Celeste Perkins joined the Hire Options team in 2022 as our Talent Acquisition Manager. Celeste has a natural flair for connecting with people and enjoys working with candidates, identifying their unique skillsets to match them with our clients. Before becoming a recruiter, Celeste honed her skills as an executive assistant at the highly regarded Los Angeles-based candle and wellness brand, Voyage et Cie. During her time there, she developed a keen appreciation for the wellness industry and the importance of building long-lasting relationships with clients. When she’s not busy making placements, Celeste can be found indulging her creative side by decorating cakes or exploring the great outdoors on a hike.
Mona Makhani

Mona Makhani Hunter has been an integral part of Hire Options, Inc. since 2001. Mona received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles and immediately ventured out and experienced the “temp world” first hand as a temp. Mona has a natural knack for recruiting and is extremely passionate about her clients and candidates. Through her compassion and determination to find candidates “the perfect home” and clients “the perfect fit,” Mona has established a very solid network and strong reputation within the community. She believes that “good people know good people” and gets excellent referrals based on her integrity, magnetic personality and true desire to make the perfect match.
Mina King

Mina King joined Hire Options’ Direct Hire Division in 2006. Mina’s passion for recruiting comes from her caring nature and her desire to assist candidates with a successful job search. What Mina loves best is finding the perfect career opportunity for her candidates … which also leads to her incredible referral network. She is dedicated to making long-term placements by thoroughly understanding the needs of both her candidates and clients. Mina received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UCLA.

Shubina’s career began in the UK Diplomatic Service in London, before she left to go on a diplomatic assignment in Hong Kong at the British Consulate in 2005. She eventually transitioned out of the UK government and into the private sector in Hong Kong; specifically a boutique executive search firm specializing in the finance and banking industry. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2010, Shubina spent a little time working in entertainment industry after which she realized that her true passion lay in recruitment, staffing and executive search – from guiding candidates with their careers and the sometimes difficult decisions they may have to make, to working with clients and helping them find that special individual to represent their brand. Shubina’s training and work in the UK government instilled a relentless need in her to assist others and so assisting job seekers or hiring managers has become a way of life. Shubina joined Hire Options in 2013 and she truly believes that everyone deserves to wake up feeling excited to go to “work”, just as she does! For fun, she likes to keep fit by boxing, spinning and taking as many classes as she can at Orangetheory Fitness, or taking her muscle car out on long drives along Pacific Coast Highway to relax by the ocean. Her greatest motivator in life is her daughter, Supernova and also their pet Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Gary. Fun Fact: Shubina is British and she does not like The Beatles, believing The Rolling Stones to be a superior band by far. She also realizes that these might be fighting words to some.

Cherrie is an LA native whose passion lies in making connections and building relationships. Her career began in 2015 with Hire Options, who placed her in her first role, and since then she has been steadily diversifying her skillset. For several years, Cherrie worked as a lead recruiter at a creative and marketing staffing agency, where she placed over 750 candidates in both temporary and direct-hire positions. During this time, she worked with Fortune 500 companies across a multitude of industries, including finance, entertainment, and tech. Cherrie’s expertise in recruiting and her ability to listen to the needs of her clients landed her a role at Apple, where she sourced global talent while keeping a focus on Diversity & Inclusion. Although her primary network is based in LA, she has recruited candidates from around the world and enjoys a challenge. In her personal life, Cherrie’s biggest joy is her daughter Finley, and they often spend their weekends at the park or chasing sunsets.

With 9 years of dedicated recruiting experience, she excels in diverse industries, particularly manufacturing and engineering. Known for her strong sourcing skills, Stephanie identifies top talent that aligns seamlessly with company values. Her true passion lies in connecting candidates with meaningful career opportunities. Since February 2024, Stephanie has been contributing her expertise to Hire Options, focusing on legal and accounting recruitment. Over the years, she has built a stellar reputation through successful client and candidate referrals.
